Google Play Announced As Official Download
And Music Streaming Partner
Google Play has today been announced as the official download and music streaming partner to The BRIT Awards 2015 with MasterCard. Viewers of the awards show will be able to download and stream the audio of the live performances that have been a hallmark of the BRITs for many years in Google Play’s most ambitious project since its UK launch in November 2011.
The audio performances from The BRIT Awards 2015 will be available to fans by visiting the Google Play store shortly following the end of the show.
With Google Play the only music service to offer both download and streaming options, music fans - online, on Android and iOS phones and tablets - have never had a greater choice on how they enjoy the best music of the past year.
As part of the collaboration, Google Play Music will also share the official media partner status of the Single of the Year award with Capital FM.
Geoff Taylor, Chief Executive BPI and BRIT Awards Limited, said: “We're delighted that the BRIT Awards are partnering with Google Play to offer fans the chance to download or stream unique BRITs performances while raising money for War Child and our music education charity The BRIT Trust. We want music fans to be able to experience the BRITs across every digital channel, and this partnership is an important pillar of that strategy.
MasterCard is also offering cardholders a chance to instantly win a ticket package to the BRITs or enjoy Google Play Music free for three months with more information available at www.pricelessurprises.co.uk.
MasterCard cardholders have two more days of exclusive first access to BRIT Awards 2015 tickets, helping to get them closer to their favourite live acts.
