Rumours that Madonna, Bjork and David Bowie are at the Kate Bush Live at Hammersmith Apollo

4,000 fans, including Lily Allen and Gemma Arterton,
descend on Hammersmith Apollo to witness Kate Bush's return
... and she wasn't letting anyone take photos
Out on the wiley, windy streets of Hammersmith, nearly 4,000 excited fans waited outside the Apollo, ready to watch Kate Bush perform for the first time in 35 years.
And it sounds like the ethereal singer didn't disappoint with a 23 song setIist, beginning with 'Lily' and ending with 'Cloudbusting'.
In the audience were Lily Allen and actress Gemma Arterton, both eager to witness the opening performance from Kate's Before The Dawn residency at the venue she ended her touring career at.
And it seems Bush had been pretty successful in keeping the amateur photography and film-making out of the auditorium as she reportedly had a 'phone team' stopping people from using them.
But Lily Allen managed to sneak a quick picture of the stage without anyone snatching her mobile and may have been sat with ex-boyfriend Seb Chew who was also at the show.
Kate arrived onstage to a standing ovation and walked barefoot, while dressed in a black feathered jacket, as she led a procession of backing singers.
Midway through the show, Kate told the gathered guests: 'This has been such an adventure so far. In way, it's only just begun.'
Before the singer arrived on stage, Gemma Arterton tweeted: 'Tonight I will fulfil a dream and see Kate Bush in concert. See me give my review on Newsnight afterwards.'
Showing their support for Kate's comeback at her first Before The Dawn show were a number of faces from music's past.
Pink Floyd's Dave Gilmour and his wife Polly, Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Holly Johnson, Soft Cell's Marc Almond and Michael Ball arrived at the West London venue to see Kate back in action.
Frank Skinner and his wife Lisa Jones also arrived for the show in cheery fashion, as did Michael Ball, but there are rumours that Madonna, Bjork and David Bowie are also in the crowd.
Derren Brown tweeted after the gig: 'At Kate Bush. #beforethedawn Magnificent, beautiful, vulnerable. And the love in the air here is just fantastic. What a night.'
